Step inside, and leave the world behind
From the street, nothing gives away what lies within. Behind the old stone walls, the house reveals itself room by room: characterful spaces, cosy corners, and a sunny courtyard where you lunch completely out of sight.
Lovingly renovated, it combines old-world charm with modern comfort. In winter, everyone gathers round the wood-burning stove; in summer, air conditioning in the lounge and the suite takes over. And from the top floor, you can glimpse Mont Ventoux.
« The kind of house you visit for a weekend and end up staying all summer. »

Nine good reasons to stay
Old-world charm, modern comfort
A typical Drôme Provençale house, with beams, stone and terracotta floors, tastefully renovated and decorated.
2 bathrooms, 2 WCs
A double basin and large bathtub in the suite, a walk-in shower for the other bedrooms: nobody queues in the morning.
Cool all summer, with air conditioning
Thick stone walls keep the heat out, and air conditioning takes over in the lounge and the master suite.
Sunny, tree-shaded courtyard
A 70 m² private courtyard, hidden from view, with barbecue, lounge area and a long dining table.
Sunny and sheltered
Tucked into its courtyard, the terrace is protected from the wind: lunch outside from the first spring sunshine well into autumn.
Heated plunge pool
A filtered stock tank pool, 2.60 m across, warmed by a heat pump and filled from May to September.
Fast Wi-Fi
For streaming in the evening, or a few days of remote work in the sun.
A quiet street
No traffic, just cicadas and the village church bells.
Everything on foot
Bakery 200 m away, grocery shop, pizzeria and café-restaurant in the village.

Our holiday home, which we love to share
This house is our hideaway. We come whenever we can, and we renovated it room by room, just the way we would love to find it on arrival.
When we are not there, we are happy to share it. Everything is ready for you to feel at home the moment you step through the door: all that is left to do is enjoy it.

A holiday home in the South of France, in the heart of Provence
Looking for a holiday rental in France with real character? Rochegude sits in the Drôme Provençale, the sunny northern edge of Provence, surrounded by Côtes-du-Rhône vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields, with Mont Ventoux on the horizon.
All around, some of the finest villages in the South of France: Grignan and its Renaissance château, La Garde-Adhémar, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, Vaison-la-Romaine and its Roman ruins, Suze-la-Rousse and its wine university, and the Saturday market in Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes. Avignon and its TGV station are 45 minutes away, and the A7 motorway is close by: an easy drive from Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany or Switzerland.
The best of Provence, within cycling distance
Rochegude is a hilltop village set among Côtes-du-Rhône vineyards, at the southern tip of the Drôme, right where the Vaucluse begins. Markets, castles and listed villages are just minutes away. The perfect base for a holiday in the South of France. Click a place to see it on the map.
